sounds like you took a piece of audio, converted it to a bitmap, mangled it in an image editor, and then converted it back into an audio file

Nemira responds:

i actually have no idea how to do that, i just made it from scratch with serum

That's a cool beat. I can hear the Aphex Twin infuence. I also like the ambient pads and the way you panned some of the sound fx over to different sides whinch makes it ultra-stereo sounding. It looks like the song could be mastered a bit louder, which isn't too much of a problem depending on what you're doing with this, but yeah, good song, good vibe! Keep making music!

This song is awesome! Reminds me of MitiS except it's less generic. I love the dynamics that come in on the ultrasaw chords at 1:03. It supplements the melody really well.

By the way, do you make you own drums? I'd really like to know how if you do

Geoplex responds:

Thanks man. I do make my own drums (though not my hihats, just my kicks and snares). It's all just synthesis, distortion and compression. Mostly sine sweeps and noise. If you want to know more, Au5 has some extremely excellent tutorials on the subject on YouTube.

I like the sounds. The vocals sound rich and pretty well mixed. The songs a bit slow to progress though and I think needs some extra complexity. The bass that came in around 6:30 could use some slight delay/reverb also to make it sound less like a simple digital sound. Good remix. Keep it up

TodukenMusic responds:

Thanks for your feedback :)

Loving this! Love the fat bass and the drumbeat and how it pairs with the rest of the sounds, especially the second part. Also, how did you get the vocal bit in the middle and end of the song and the trumpet? One little thing that I would improve though is not making it abruptly cut off at the end. This must've had a lot of work put into it and lots of tracks! I'm impressed

Akaruhime responds:

Thank you, glad ya like and I'll try working on that! as for the Vocal n trumpets tis all thanks to synthesizers, samples and some other fx's.

Good production and sounds. One thing I would suggest is to add some variety because it's a bit repetitive a lot of the time and maybe not make the panning so harsh in the beginning, even though it's a good idea. good work

12HarmonicChaos responds:

thank you! I totally agree, I was trying to figure that out myself...i just reuploaded with some more complex drums and redid the intro...you're right, the intro sounds so much better without the hard panning....drums could still use some work, but maybe another day :)

Sounds nice and calming, seems like sort of a background track to me. The guitar or whatever that instrument was that came in at 0:43 sounds sort of unfinished like it's being played on a keyboard. I would've liked to hear some more variation in the dynamics and maybe some delay or something. I like it!

TaintedLogic responds:

Thanks! I totally agree with your criticisms. The guitar is a preset from DirectWave. I probably should've modified it more. Thanks again for the review! ^^

40 hours well spent. I like how rich this sounds. The distorted snare during the main drops could be a bit quieter and less overpowering though

Tennon responds:

I agree lol. The snare is just bad

First of all, I like the the chords that came in in the beginning. You did a nice job of panning them.

The first main part sounds chaotic but neat. I would suggest not using so much flange/phaser in those synths because it makes the mix less clear.

The high hat in the second half of the song is sort of piercing and annoying. Would've recommended re-equalizing it so that the lower treble is higher.

For the emptier parts, I would recommend filling them up with some extra, but still clean and quiet reverb.

I like how the sounds themselves interact with the melody. It sounds fun. Good work!

KONjure responds:

I'm so glad you pointed that out because I sometimes do go to hard with the phaser. I was thinking I needed to lighten up on it as well.

And as for the hi hat part I noticed that to but only after I up loaded it.
It all sounded so much better on my computer.

Question though why is it when I play it from my computer everything sounds perfect to me. But from ether my car speaker or any other monitors my song sounds flate?

The beat is cool, but I would probably want to hear some panning of the drums. I like the ambient pad that came in in the middle of the song, also

phoenixapprentice responds:

Oh, I never thought about that. Thanks! I actually used a drum loop because I don't have very good drum VSTs...
