Interesting song with clean sounds. The only two things I would've wanted to hear was to make the chorus parts even crazier and use that really clean arp you used in the beginning and at 3:04 more throughout the song. Keep making music, you're really good!

Geoplex responds:

Cheers. The arp was very much an afterthought unfortunately as I did the intro last

Not bad, but some of the sounds should probably be more stereophonic.

ShockblastDeluxe responds:

Not sure what that means, but I agree that the sounds should've fit better.

Not too bad of a first try! I would suggest adding more structure and detail to the melody for the last two thirds, though.

DJAbzorb responds:

Thank you, your feedback is encouraging and much appreciated!

First off, the intro seems a little bland. Would highly recommend making it more detailed or add something to catch the listener's interest. I like the arpeggiating pad you brought in at the beginning, too.

I think the sound design needs improvement at 1:25, especially because you can hear crackling from the lead. The sound at the end is cool, but sounds monophonic. I suggest panning the oscillators/operators different directions while still keeping that really neat flange sound.

Another thing I think is this should've had more of a gradual or less immediate ending, such as filtering stuff down or adding on a crash.

To me at least, you're song is a little catchy and even a little satisfying. Good job!

SvDMIssion2 responds:

This is the most feedback i've ever received on a single track. Thank you for all of the insight. I really wish I would have spent more time on this track, I really sort of slapped it together during some procrastination time on a school day.

This is really cool. I like the swing you put into this as well as the syncopated dynamics. Hope you do well in the NGADM!

KamillasRainbow responds:

Thank you :)

Neat song. However I would do things such as make the intro more complex as well as some of the other emptier parts. I like the chorus at 0:42, but I noticed another issue. I think the song would sound less choppy if you eased back on the compression (turning the input and ratio down and the threshold up). Finally, I would suggest working a bit on your sound design, especially the lead that goes through the chorus. I would try making it sound more stereophonic.

Hope this advice helps you in the future!

ramiroangel responds:

thaaaank you!

Love the sound design, especially the arpeggios. However, the master is a bit bland and one thing I think may help is making the sounds more stereo, especially panning some of the notes differently, like the arpeggios. I would also recommend less dubstep sounding drums especially for the first part. Keep working at it! Also, I was thinking of collabing with you soon.

InstaSkillz responds:

this is cow turd, but thanks anyway!

Was this inspired by Journey, the video game? Cool song, I like the ambience and variety. One little thing you could do is make the master a littler clearer on the high end. Just a suggestion though Good luck in the contest!

Ramn0 responds:

Thanks :-)
and no, it is not inspired by the video game, but more by the nature itself.

Sounds are good, but the melody's pretty reptetive and the mix is a bit empty. Good luck in the NGUAC

UnavailableSurm responds:

I realize, thank you!

I like the chiptune influence in this song like the electro-bells that are panned way to the right, as well as the pitch bends.

I actually think the vocals sound cool for the most part, however, I think you could've equalized them a bit more to fit the rest of the song and maybe attempt to take out the background hum from the audio.

Something that I'm curious about is the clicks that happen every couple of measures sometimes, like at 2:53. Do you know what's causing them, because it doesn't sound brilliant.

But overall, it's really cool and fun song. Keep making music!

BlueCat6123 responds:

Thanks for your feedback,

I think the clicks are an audio error cause I used some old computer that didn't run too well, but that's just a guess.

Also, I really didn't do anything to vocals, other than change the volume a bit, And I attempted to take out background noises but I couldn't for some reason lol
